This is a First Post by Student Junction to help All Students who cleared AIEEE 2011. Its been said that Cracking AIEEE is much easier than understanding the counselling process of AIEEE. Last year in 2010 Central Counselling Board (CCB) introduced Online counselling, so some students who understood the aieee counselling process well they got college and branch which they even not expected and students who took aieee 2010 counselling lightly got unexpected results. So this year to avoid this type of students Student Junction took the initiative to help the students so that everyone should Get their desired college and branch.
One thing also Come a lot in student's mind should we go for Branch or College for this also Student Junction will write to make you understand what is more important?
Central counselling board who is conducting counselling for AIEEE 2O11 has divided their counselling in three phases. Understanding these phases is most important in aieee counselling
So lets start with first phase what it says
First Phase says that CCB will open registration for qualified candidates on 11th June 2011 in which you have to register yourself for that CCB will give you some days to fill your choices in any order you want.Proper Filling of Choices is most crucial part in CCB counselling if you don't give and strategies how to fill the choice them I m sorry you will be stuck in your trap.
Student junction will help you to Fill the Choices in CCB counselling...
You can Fill your choices from June 11th to 23th. During this period there will be Indicative seat allotment..
Now What is Indicative seat allotment?
Before 23rd June you have lock your choice if you are unable to lock your choices till 23rd June then your last saved choices will be considered in counselling so it is very important to lock choices..Last year many students forgot to lock the choices so last saved choices was taken into consideration which caused many problems to students.
If you have got the Seat in first round of Counselling then you need to report at CCB respective centre from 26th June to 2 July 2011 and those who are not allotted any seat then They have will go for 2nd Round of Counselling..Now those who will report at CCB centre there students will be given three Options
Option I:Candidates who wish to be considered in the next round for all of their higher
preference choices (i.e. across institutes) means If suppose we have got 67th choice which you filled in First round of counselling then if you choose this option then you will be allowed to take part in Second round of Ccb Counselling but in Second round you will be only get choices which are above you preference choices means above 67th which you got in First round of counselling..
Option-II: Candidates who wish to be considered in the next round for their higher
preference choices only within the Institute allotted to them if you choose this option then you can only upgraded your branch in that specific college which you got in First Round of counselling.. Suppose your Choice filling is like this
NIT Warangal ECE
NIT Srinagar COE
NIT Warangal ME ------ Suppose this is what you got in first counselling then you can get any branch which is filled above ME in NIT warangal
Option-III: Candidates who wish to finalise the seat allotted to them. (In such cases
candidates seat is frozen and will not be allowed to change seat in subsequent rounds, except
during internal sliding) if you choose this that means you have fixed you choice and college now you cannot change your college but still you have the chance to change your Branch through Internal Sliding ( Internal sliding will be discussed later on)
If you have any doubt in First Round of counselling then ask freely because if you doesn't ask then it will be your lose, many students suffered last year because of lack of knowledge of Ccb Counselling.
Further Counselling Process will be Explained Soon.

You can Fill your choices from June 11th to 23th. During this period there will be Indicative seat allotment..
Now What is Indicative seat allotment?
Students are not aware of this term. It is very simple term introduced by CCB which will help you. Now suppose you have filled 100 choices and you have saved it till June 17th and suppose on 18th June CCB is conducting Indicative allotment and next day in Indicative allotment you will see what you can get in 1st Counselling comparing last year Counselling. Well Indicative seat allotment is just an idea so that you must be aware what will you get?
But as per I say don't think that you will get same in 1st counselling as Shown by Indicative allotment. Indicative allotment depends on various factors like how many people filled choice, how many choices filled by each student and many more.
Before 23rd June you have lock your choice if you are unable to lock your choices till 23rd June then your last saved choices will be considered in counselling so it is very important to lock choices..Last year many students forgot to lock the choices so last saved choices was taken into consideration which caused many problems to students.
CCB will announce their Result of 1st Round of Counselling on 25th June 2011. So you can see What you have got.
